    1. Prepare: Wear gloves and apply a barrier cream along your hairline and ears to prevent staining. 
    2.  Mix: In a non-metal bowl, combine equal parts Chromasilk color and developer. Stir thoroughly until you reach a smooth, consistent paste.
    3. Section: Divide dry, unwashed hair into 4–6 manageable sections using clips.
    4. Apply: Starting at the roots, apply color mixture section by section, working from the scalp outward. Ensure complete saturation for even coverage. 
    5. Process: Leave the color on for 30–45 minutes, depending on desired intensity and gray coverage. Check frequently for best results.
    6. Rinse: Rinse with lukewarm water until water runs clear. Use a color-safe shampoo and conditioner to seal the cuticle. 
    7. Dry & Style: Towel dry gently and style as desired. Use heat protectant products if blow-drying.
